We are excited to announce that BFG Federal Credit Union upgraded its online and in-branch systems. 

As of April 2, 2026, all members will need to re-enroll in our new Online Banking and Bill Pay platforms then download our new Mobile App to continue using these services. Need help? Click the dropdowns below for instructions.


Upgrade Information

What Did Not Change

  • Current certificate and loan terms, as well as any payment due dates remained the same. 

  • Checks, debit cards and credit cards do not need to be updated.

  • Debit and credit card numbers stayed the same, including Debit Card Personal Identification Numbers (PINs).

  • Member account numbers stayed the same, so any direct deposits should not need to be updated.

Digital Banking Guide

As of April 2, 2026, all members will need to re-enroll in our new Online Banking and Bill Pay platforms then download our new mobile app to continue using these services. A step-by-step guide for each is listed below:

Online Banking

1. Go to the Online Banking login area in the top left corner.

2. Click Login

3. On the right-hand side, click on Enroll.

  • All members must re-enroll. Everyone will be a first-time user when they go to the site for the first time.

4. Complete reCaptcha as prompted (I’m not a robot).

5. Enter your member information:

  • Enter your member number under Member Account Number (if your member number is less than six digits, enter leading zeros: Example 009876)

  • Enter the last 4 digits of the Primary Member’s SSN under PIN

  • Enter the Primary Member’s SSN

6. Enter the one-time passcode sent to your email address

  • Note – if BFG FCU does not have the correct email address, contact Member Services at 800-306-4400 for assistance.

7. Create your new login credentials:

  • Enter the New Logon ID/User ID you want to use (you will not be permitted to use your member number)

  • Enter New Security Code/password

  • Re-enter Enter Security Code/password

  • Note – Security Code/password requirements must be between 12-16 characters long, include upper and lower case letters, and at least one number. In addition, it must contain at least one of these special characters !@#$%^&* and can not contain the Logon ID.

8. Sign in with your new information (you must log in for the first time before exiting):

  • Enter your new Logon ID

  • Enter your new security code

  • Click Log On

9. Set Up Two Factor Authentication

  • Select a phone number to receive a one-time verification code via text or a call

  • Click continue

10. Enter the one-time passcode sent to your phone

11. Accept Online Banking Terms & Conditions

12. Complete your profile:

  • Enter your mobile number

  • Click on Save

13. You are now enrolled in VBN Online Banking!

 

Mobile App

1. Download the BFG FCU app from your device’s app store

2. If you have already re-enrolled via Online Banking, you can log in as usual. You will only need to enroll once.

3. If you have not yet re-enrolled, click on Enroll Now on the app landing page

4. Complete reCaptcha as prompted

5. Enter your member information:

  • Enter your member number under Member ID (if your member number is less than six digits, enter leading zeros: Example 009876)

  • Enter the last 4 digits of the Primary Member’s SSN under PIN

  • Enter the Primary Member’s SSN

6. Create your new login credentials:

  • Enter the New Logon ID/username you want to use (you will not be permitted to use your member number)

  • Enter New Security Code/password

  • Re-enter Enter Security Code

7. Sign in with your new information (you must log in for the first time before exiting):

  • Enter your new Logon ID

  • Enter your new security code

  • Click Log In

8. Select a phone number to receive a one-time verification code via text or a call

  • Click continue

9. Enter the one-time passcode sent to your phone

10. Accept Online Banking Terms & Conditions

11. Complete your profile:

  • Enter your mobile number

  • Click on Save

12. Return to the App Landing Page

13. Enter Logon ID & security code

14. Accept Mobile Terms & Conditions

15. You are now enrolled for Mobile and Online Banking!

 

Bill Pay

Note – Bill Pay enrollment must be completed in Online Banking, not the mobile app.  Once enrolled, bill pay is active in online banking and mobile.  

1. Log into Online Banking (see enrollment instructions for help if you have not yet re-enrolled)

2. After logging in, click Enroll Now in the Payment Enrollment screen

3. Read the Terms & Conditions, then click Enroll to accept & proceed

4. Click Enroll after reviewing the service information & what you can do with CheckFree

5. Click on Transfer & Payment at the bottom of your screen to begin adding merchants and paying bills

 

Mobile Deposits

1. Log in to your Online Banking account

2. Open Mobile Settings 

3. On the SMS Services tab of the Services & Devices screen, you will see all mobile devices you have added. You will need to add your cell phone number to access Mobile Deposit.

4. Click on Add Mobile Device

5. Enter your cell phone number, then click save.

6. You will receive an activation code. Enter the code sent to you via text and click Activate.

7. You have now registered your device for Mobile Deposits!

 

eStatements

1. Log into your Online Banking account

2. Click on the eStatement link

3. Agree to the Terms and Conditions

4. Choose your statement delivery preference

5. Click next

6. Click on Enroll

FAQs

Do I need to download a new app?

Yes, you will need to download our new BFG FCU Mobile app from your device’s app store to continue using mobile banking. Click here for Mobile App information.

 

What happened to my automatic/scheduled internal transfers?

Your automatic transfers between your accounts at BFG FCU (for example: transfers between deposit accounts, to loans, etc.) will still occur as scheduled, but will not be available to view in Virtual Branch Next. Since your transfers will still be in place, please do not add them again within VBN since this will lead to a duplicate transaction. Please contact BFG FCU for any changes to existing scheduled transfers. This only applies to recurring transfers that you have scheduled between your accounts at BFG FCU. ACH transfers will not be impacted.

 

Will account numbers change?

No, account numbers will not change.

 

Will I need to order new checks?

No, the check information will remain the same.

 

Will I be issued a new debit or credit card and PIN?

No, all debit and credit cards and their PINs remained the same.

 

Will e-statements be transferred to the new system?

Yes, 18 months of e-statements will transfer to the new online banking system.  Prior statements may not be immediately available.  Please contact BFG FCU at 800-306-4400 if you need a statement.

 

Did Online Banking User IDs and passwords change?

Yes. To log in for the first time, please use the Digital Banking Guide to re-enroll

 

Was Bill Pay affected by the conversion?

Yes.  You will have to enroll in online banking, set up new payees and schedule payments.  Please use the Digital Banking Guide to re-enroll
